Rich Sexton

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rich Sexton is a lawyer, U.S. Navy veteran, and Democratic politician from New Jersey.

Sexton is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Rutgers University School of Law–Camden. He served in the Navy for over 20 years, including four years aboard the USS Enterprise. After leaving active duty, Sexton worked in the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Delaware Attorney General's Office.[1]

He is running against Republican Jim Saxton for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey's Third Congressional District, and is one of the Fighting Dems.

On September 12, 2006, Sexton appeared in an interview with political satirist Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report, during which Colbert offered Sexton a mock opportunity to give his concession speech. Unofficial numbers indicate that Saxton won reelection.
