Rich Scanlon

Rich Scanlon (born December 23, 1980 in Orangeburg,New York) is an American football player who currently plays linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared in 43 games (27 starts) for Syracuse University and recorded 277 tackles, 4 sacks, two INTs, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and eight passes defensed. He was picked up as a free agent by the Chiefs in 2004, and played for Berlin Thunder in NFL Europe.

Prior to signing with the Chiefs, Rich graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Exercise Science, with an eye toward attending medical school.
