RichCrest Animation Studios

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

RichCrest Animation Studios (formerly Rich Animation Studios) was an animation studio located in California. The studio was founded by Richard Rich, who previously worked at Disney. The studio's first and most famous film was The Swan Princess, which was rather successful on initial release. After the animated remake, The King and I, was released in 1999, they were taken over by Crest Animation Studios Ltd. (CEO : A.K.Madhavan), an Indian animation giant, to form RichCrest Animation Studios. Its last film (along with Rich's) was Muhummad: The Last Prophet, which was released direct-to-video and sold poorly. It is believed the studio went bankrupt shortly thereafter.
