Ricardo Batista

Ricardo Jorge Cecília Batista (born November 19, 1986) is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays for Fulham, having previously played for his home club, Vitoria Setubal.

[edit] 2005-2006

Due to injuries to both Jaroslav Drobný and Mark Crossley, Batista has featured on the bench for Fulham at the start of the 2005-06 season.

In January 2006, he moved on a one-month loan to Milton Keynes Dons F.C., where he was such an asset that the loan was extended for the rest of the season.

He had a successful trial at Wycombe Wanderers F.C. where he impressed in the 1-0 pre-season defeat to Aldershot Town F.C. He was subsequently signed by Wycombe on a 5 month loan deal on the 3rd August 2006 which could be extended to the end of the season. In October 2006, he played in the Carling Cup 3rd Round against Doncaster United, the game ended at 2-2 after extra time and went 3-2 to Wycombe Wanderers F.C. on penalties, Ricardo Batista saving three penalties.

He was recalled to Fulham in December 2006.
