Route 12 takes the following route through the State:

• Scituate: 8.3 miles; Route 14/Route 102 to Cranston city line
  • Tunk Hill Road and Scituate Avenue
• Cranston: 8.8 miles; Scituate town line to Broad Street
  • Scituate Avenue, Phenix Avenue and Park Avenue

Route 12 is a main east-west corridor through Cranston.

Route 12's eastern terminus is about 1/3 mile (1/2 km) past US 1A, at Broad Street. Broad Street is an old alignment of US 1A; it still carries several US 1A signs further south.
