"Rhinestone Cowboy" is song written by Larry Weiss. It was released by its author as a single in 1974. Its greatest success has been the cover version released by Glen Campbell, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1975. It has also been covered by, Soul Asylum, Britney Spears, Belle and Sebastian, Charlie Pride, and White Town.
