Rheinfelden [ʁaɪnfəldən] (in Alemannic Badisch-Rhyfälde [bɑdɪʃ ʁifaldə]), is a town in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, across from Rheinfelden, Switzerland, and 15 km east of Basel. Population 32,226 (2005).
A town twinning between Rheinfelden and Barry has been established in 1968, later extended to Vale of Glamorgan.
