RGM-79C Powered GM

Seen in the anime show Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, the RGM-79C Powered GM was a mobile suit weapon of the Earth Federation. As part of the Federation's plan to rebuild their fleet after the enormous casualties of the One Year War in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, modified versions of their standard RGM-79 GM were used as testbeds for new technologies. The Powered GM is one example of this program. Fitted with an enormously powered booster and improved legs to take the shock of hard falls, the Powered GM was a fantastic mobile suit. In the first episode of the series, a single Powered takes on three Zaku IIs in a Federation paintball exercise and completely outguns them. However, the fate of the only two animated Powered GMs was far grimmer than this exercise. Faced with battle-hardened Zeon pilots during the opening attack of Operation Stardust on their Torrington Base, the Federation pilots were slaughtered, including one Powered GM. The other one, piloted by Dick Allen of the Burning team, was destroyed by a Dom Tropen while pursuing the Zeon attackers as they attempted escape with a stolen Gundam prototype.
