[edit] Conjugation and gramatical person

In Dutch, the conjugation of a verb depends on the grammatical persoon. This way, it becomes visible wether an action is preformed by the speaker (first person), the adressed person (second person) or another/others (third person) there also exists a difference between plural and singular in Dutch, together they allow a Dutch speaker to make 6 different conjugations in the demonstrative and interrogative way.

First person
Singular
ik speel (I play) speel ik? (do I play?)
Second person
Singular
jij speelt (you play) speel jij? (do you play?)
Third person
Singular
hij/zij/het speelt (he/she/it plays) speelt hij/zij? (does he/she/it play?)
First person
Plural
wij spelen (we play) spelen wij? (do you play?)
Second person
Plural
jullie spelen (you play) spelen jullie? (are you playing?)
Third person
Plural
zij spelen (they play) spelen zij? (are they playing)

Although Dutch is a three-gender language, Dutch verbs aren't influenced by gramatical genders when conjugated.
