Revolta da Armada

Revolta da Armada (revolt of the Navy, in Portuguese language) was a military armed mutiny promoted by some naval units of the Brazilian navy against the federal republican government presided at the time by Marshall Floriano Peixoto. It started at Rio de Janeiro in September 1893, and was suppressed only in March 1894.
