"Officers from the 11th division quiver in their sandals at the sight of Unohana reinforces this suggestion."

This is rather misleading. The exact scence has some 11th division members(no indication that they are officers) demanding to leave after they have been healed, basically kicking up a fuss as the 4th division tries to get them to stay. Then Unohana walks in and politely says that they should stay as while inside the building they are in the care of the 4th division. The 11th division members quickly agree, and afterwards have mixed reactions from "So scary!" to "wah so cool". If anything the 11th division were surprised by her beauty. -- Question2

Yes, it's a paragraph full of speculation, I have removed it. Also, please add new comments to the bottom of the page under a heading. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 20:42, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Minazuki kanji

The status of a kanji as a depriciated character is determined by the Ministery of Education, not the various kanji dictionaries. Izuko 02:32, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Do you know where Ministry of Education-approved kanji can be found (including their readings, etc. etc.)? The closest place I know is the various kanji dictionaries. If you can link to an official source, I think this will help a lot. -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 18:50, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
The kanji dictionaries are the best sources I know. None the less, the text is misleading since it gives the failure to appear in Nelson's and JIDIC as the reason it's non-standard. Izuko 18:34, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
I actually think that's pretty accurate, AFAIK all 1945 standard characters and the ~900 (can't remember) name-only characters, and probably every other character used in modern Japanese, appear in Nelson's dictionary. However, I understand where you're coming from. What re-wording do you suggest? -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 20:57, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
I've made my edit. Hopefully it fits. Thinking about it, it seemed to me that the bit about Nelson's (which I verified, BTW, not in there) was a bit extra. What needed to get across was that it was NGU, and it becomes NGU by Ministery of Education decree - the dictionaries just change to stay in spec. Izuko 21:43, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Is it her shikai?

How do you know the manta ray thing is her shikai? There's been a big debate on this in the forums I go to and the conclusion was that there is insufficient information to determine whether it's her shikai or bankai.

There is absolutely no information to support the theory that it's her bankai for sure. Considering most final releases have special names, like Tensa Zangetsu or Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, I'd say it's a fair assessment to say that the creature she calls Minazuki is in fact her shikai. -- Israel Ynhockey (Talk) 11:15, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
That's one hell of a Shikai, then. Could it simply be the materialization of Minazuki's avatar? Given all of the Shikai seen so far, none are on such a large scale as Minazuki. Of course, Unohana could be the exception to the rule, like Ichigo with Bankai.--Rokuwa 20:06, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Unless it's stated to be her bankai, we should assume it's her shikai. No other character has had their bankai revealed before their shikai, and she didn't go all theatrical and yell out BANKAI when releasing it either. --tjstrf 03:24, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How she carries her Zanpakutō.

I know it's mentioned that her weapon is longer than most others. And that she carries it over her shoulder most times. But After rewatching the executiohn grounds scene it looks like she sometimes has her vice captain carry or maybe just hold it. Though it could be more because Isane wanted to carry it.Kanzen kagiri 07:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Another incidence of Isane carrying Unohana's weapon is when they confronted Aizen.Kanzen kagiri 04:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
