Return of the Seven

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Return of the Seven (1966), aka Return of the Magnificent Seven, is the belated first sequel to the seminal 1960 western The Magnificent Seven. Yul Brynner returns as Chris Adams with Robert Fuller assuming the role of Vin from Steve McQueen. Various stories say that McQueen was either too busy a star in 1966, that Brynner wanted him back but McQueen hated the script, or that Brynner disliked him and refused to have him in the film.

The film was directed by Burt Kennedy and co-starred Claude Akins, Warren Oates, Jordan Christopher and Julian Mateos as Chico ( replacing Horst Buchholz). Emilio Fernandez was the villain. Fernando Rey played a priest and showed up in the next film Guns of the Magnificent Seven as a different character.
