Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix is the prequel to the successful PlayStation game, Fear Effect. This game gives players an insight into the previous adventures of the characters in Fear Effect and also shows what brings them together in the first place. The game also gained notoriety through a suggestive ad campaign upon its release.
[edit] Characters
Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix involves all three of the playable characters from the first game and more.
- Hana Tsu Vachel, a beautiful assassin trained to deal in love as well as death, desired by many yet belonging only to one.
- Royce Glas, a master operative in the field of counter intelligence whose daily existence is haunted by his dark past.
- Jacob "Deke" Decourt, a cold-blooded killer driven by money and murder.
- Rain Qin, a new playable character. Found in a bad state by Hana while she was visiting a cemetery. Hana takes Rain in and soon discovers her talent with computers. The two became close friends, and a bit more than that, as the Fear Effect series is one of the earliest games to outrightly feature bisexual characters in the leading roles as part of the concept.
