[edit] Response
FouthAve, your response is further illustration of the points I made in the request. Also your response belongs under the section called "Response". And to address your accusation of partisanship, I have removed Republican spin from a Democratic Congressman (Lane Evans) within the last week. - Jaysus Chris 10:54, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FourthAve is definetly proving our points
It seems to me that FourthAve is definetly proving our points about his behavior. I have said before that do to something like this, and then sign it is like taping yourself throwing a rock through someone's living room window and then leaving the tape on the person's front door. I do honestly wish that he would cease this behavior so that he can continue to make useful contributions to Wikipedia, but our wishes seem to be falling on deaf ears.

[edit] Question About Legal Exposure
I found this on the WP:No personal attacks page: "Similarly, slander, libel, or defamation of character is not to be tolerated on Wikipedia. True instances of such writing, which might legitimately expose Wikipedia to legal sanction..."
Could this be the case in the case of FourthAve? If Rev. Bullock, the University of Dubuque, or the Nussle family decided that FourthAve's behavior rose to the level of slander, libel, defamation of character, etc, would they have a case which could expose Wikipedia itself to legal liability?

[edit] Suggestions
Far from knowing (and caring) about the lurid details of the subject matter, relevant - certifyable - details need to be involved. Important that it is worded factually and not in an attacking way. For example.
"Reports of his extra-marital affair, which lead to his divorce ..."
- "... have caused a rift amongst his supporters"
- "... opened him up to attack by his political opponents, who made his "lack of familyvalues" the theme of their campain against him"
- "... has caused a decline in his oppinion polls"
obviously these are just hypothetical examples which would need proper sourcing iE weblinks to reputable newssources. Maybe if we can convince FourthAve to think along those line he would be able to insert the details he feels so important about without resorting to attacks on the subject. [edit] Arbitration
Because FourthAve has refused to take this process seriously, I have requested arbitration. - Jaysus Chris 12:09, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
