[edit] List of contested userboxes

Does anyone want to put together a list of the userboxes which are central to this case (those that Tony deleted the recreations?) I can't find a complete version.... Physchim62 (talk) 14:34, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Look at my evidence. There is the list of edits done by User:Userboxes, and also in the "T1 speedies by admins" section you'll see that my deletions are listed for 12 February. I only took eight minutes to delete the whole lot of them, so they're in a big clump, and they're all in the userspace of User:Userboxes. --Tony Sidaway 06:58, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion of Physchim62's evidence related to allegations of sock puppetry

I took the liberty of moving the following discussion here as it's not evidence per se and in any case was not authored by Physchim62. --Tony Sidaway 13:38, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Just a note from an uninvolved party; in theory, it is possible for someone to make edits under different names using two different computers. This also would be an effective way for someone to claim their innocence. Not that this necessarily happened here, but it should be noted. Ral315 (talk) 17:48, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Also from multiple browsers, I believe? The login is, to my knowledge, by cookie, and separate browsers (IE and Netscape, for instance) will have separate cookies. Michael Ralston 02:34, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
The thing that convinced me that Firebug was not Crotalus was the very different editing patterns. Although they do have some slight correspondence of interests (and both have tangled with Netoholic--which is not that unusual) what I see is nothing more than I'd expect to encounter by chance. In particular Crotalus' very intense interest, and knowledge of, 6502 processors and in particular Commodore 6502-based home computers, seems to be quite absent in Firebug.
If a user tries to run a sophisticated sock, also, running in different browsers and the like, he does not in general do so to make innocent and productive edits. And the fact of the matter is that humans are fallible and sometimes an editor would trip up and make an edit on the wrong user page or respond to a request with the wrong identity. Crotalus is not firebug. Also his personal demeanor suggests that, even if he were the banned user levelcheck (a suggestion for which I have seen no credible evidence) he has by his actions as Crotalus completely redeemed himself and become a productive Wikipedian. --Tony Sidaway 13:38, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
It's funny you mentioned 6502 interest. In fact, Firebug has edited related to that... see MOS Technology 6502's history. Firebugs first days of editing featured plenty of work on game chipsets. There are a lot more parallels. -- Netoholic @ 21:12, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A Friendly Reminder

"When placing evidence here, please be considerate of the arbitrators and be concise. Long, rambling, or stream-of-conciousness rants are not helpful."

Regards, Nandesuka 21:59, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

I was simply going to say "Please limit your evidence to a maximum 1000 words and 100 diffs, a much shorter, concise presentation is more likely to be effective." - brenneman{T}{L} 06:22, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Further to that, there is already a lot of duplication on the page. I'd prefer it if we could construct "evidence" collaboratively. Even just the "wheel warring" section is ǜber messy:
6 Evidence presented by Xoloz (on behalf of an absent colleague)
6.1 Mr. Sidaway frequently engages in administrative "wheel warring"
7 Evidence presented by Nandesuka
7.1 Tony Sidaway has undeleted many articles often wheel warring in the process
8.1 Tony engages in wheel warring and refuses to discuss his actions
8.1.1 Thomasine Church
8.1.2 OGTV 2
8.1.3 DRV
8.1.4 Catholic Alliance
I'd like it if we could combine these into a nice concise chunk, long on diff and short on editorialising. Any takers?

The longer I look at this page, the worse it is. Is there any way we can just shoot this and start over... The 643 diffs, the boundless editorialising... it's unusable. HEY ARBCOM! A LITTLE HELP HERE? I wonder if that will help...
