[edit] Article probation
Seeing the first proposals for remedies, I again would like to promote an Article Probation for Kosovo and related articles. We have seen a lot of different editors come and go during the period of this dispute and only article probation will allow administrators to deal also with future disruptive edits by editors not involved in this particular Arbitration request.
Since this is a very heated topic, there undoubtly will be other editors (both neutral and with strong POVs) attracted to these articles. I am afraid that in some time from now the exact same situation will occur, but with a different group editors, unless something can be done to prevent that. --Cpt. - Well, these edits of today: [1] by 82.114.95.33 (talk • contribs) and the subsequent edit: [2] by Nikola Smolenski (talk • contribs) show exactly (not even 2 days after the protection was lifted) that the people in this arbitration will simply be replaced by others, and therefore article probation is the only thing that will do anything good (contrary to blocking individual users) And another new editor joined in: Palmucha (talk • contribs) [3]. --Cpt. - Palmucha and 82.114.95.33 are sockpuppets of Vezaso; Nikola has been an active editor on the article in the past. I do agree with your point, though. Vezaso had only made a handful of edits to Kosovo prior to starting the edit war on 27 August that precipitated this arbitration. The article is a magnet for POV warriors on both sides, unfortunately. -- ChrisO 13:33, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Probations
Why am I listed in the probations? I do not have a signicant number of edits and I have just attempted to enforce to what I understood to be the consensus amoung the other editors. There has been nothing discussed in the /workshop or presented in /evidence that suggests this, only the proposed finding of fact that is inaccurate -- I have not been banned for any edits relating to Kosovo.// Laughing Man 19:54, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
