[edit] User:Jnc in dispute with User:Barberio

At Essjay's suggestion on my talk page:

Why don't the two of you try mediating your differences? ... -- Essjay · Talk 08:48, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
If you file a request at RfM, they will pair you with a mediator who understands the subject matter sufficiently to be able to coordinate. -- Essjay · Talk 12:31, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

I'm filing this here. See Talk:History of the Internet/archive2 and Talk:History of the Internet (in that order) for the background. Noel (talk) 13:48, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree to this mediation. More background can be found on our user talk pages. --John R. Barberio talk, contribs 17:25, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

Quick note. I have previously listed this dispute for a Third Opinion, RfC and Poll. I would like Noel to detail the exact objections he has with the rewrite however. (Or at least a less vauge complaint that it is 'unacceptable' or 'Original Research POV') --John R. Barberio talk, contribs 17:54, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

I think Asbestos would work for this case. Redwolf24 (talk) 19:33, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Preferably the person, not the thing. Redwolf24 (talk) 19:35, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
I don't know, it might dampen the flames somewhat. --John R. Barberio talk, contribs 19:46, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Can the mediator please contact me on my talk: page, or via email? I may not be monitoring this page, or the article's talk page; I have many other things I am working on (e.g. maintaining RfD). Noel (talk) 15:39, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

I'm happy to take this. Please give me a day or so to catch up. — Asbestos | Talk (RFC) 22:10, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

Mediation is taking place on the Talk page. — Asbestos | Talk (RFC) 19:51, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

I am concerned that the mediation process appears to have stalled, and that Asbestos has not responded to comments left on his talk page. --John R. Barberio talk, contribs 17:48, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
