If you believe someone has chosen an inappropriate username under Wikipedia's username policy, you may list it here. However, before listing the user here, please first contact the user on his or her talk page and give them an opportunity to change usernames voluntarily.

Names that are offensive, inflammatory, impersonating an existing user, or asserting inappropriate authority will generally be permanently blocked by visiting admins. If a matter turns out to be controversial, a subpage may be created here to discuss it.

[edit] Spaztic ming (talk contribs)

Potentially offensive username. Squeezeweasel 23:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Er, doesn't strike me as particularly offensive, and taking a look at Spaz's contributions suggests that this is a "real" editor. EVula // talk // // 23:28, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Absolutely agree that it's a "real" editor, and I really don't wish to imply otherwise; however, the name is contrary to username policy. I don't want to be picky, but some people are offended by the terms "spaz" and "spastic". Squeezeweasel 23:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I have one thing to say as an experienced editor... The word "squeeze" could be seen as a direct insult to my religious beliefs...  Daniel_123  ►  00:09, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, and "weasel words" are something that we typically avoid... so right there we've got an argument for your banning. ;-)
All kidding aside, I really think that pre-emptively assuming offense by something is mundane as "spaz" is a mistake. If someone is offended by someone calling themselves spastic, they've got bigger issues. EVula // talk // // 06:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Koos Emek (talk contribs)

This term is extremely offensive. In modern Hebrew slang (taken from Arabic words), it means literally "Your mother's cunt". It is intended to be derogatory, insulting and offensive. Since this user's one edit has been a request for unptotection of Talk:Allegations of Israeli apartheid, I suspect that it will be used for further insults and persaonal attacks. When requested poiitely on his talk page, his only response was another Hebrew phrase, also meaning "Fuck Off".--RolandR 17:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

This is ridiculous. Koos is my first name and Emek is my last name. People should be proud to have such a name. And my response means to find someone to shake yourself. Koos Emek 17:43, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
How can I change my name?
Okay I changed it. Lech tizdayen 17:59, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
He changed it to the Hebrew for "Fuck off", and then deleted the entire section. This is unacceptable.--RolandR 18:17, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
You are unacceptable. Stop examining my names so closely. Lech tizdayen 18:22, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Ban. Robert K S 19:05, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Blocked both Koos Emek & Lech tizdayen. Femto 19:20, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
I also declined a namechange to "timtzotz li"... Femto 19:32, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
He has also requested to change to כוס אמא שלך, ben zona, and yebat. All are offensive and unacceptable. This user is mocking all of us. I have no idea whether he is, as I first thought, a right-wing Israeli bigot, or, as he seems to present himself, a Hebrew-speaking Palestinian supporter of Hamas. And I don't particularly care. (Could he be both?) It's possible to have fierce debates with opponents without descending to this sort of abuse and contempt, and I urge this would-be contributor to reconsider. Currently he is in danger of alienating potential allies as much as opponents.--RolandR 21:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pedar sag (talk contribs)

"Pedar sag" is a very offensive term in Farsi (the Persian language) that means, literally, "father of a dog". The user has only created garbage about a fictitious "Persian Mafia" since registering. --Bobak 20:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
