Confirmed 88.153.50.37 has been used by DreemT, a recognized sock. 88.154.29.134 has no activity at the moment. TomskyVitalik is connected to DreemT, ForesterGamp, and ChineTown, all previous socks. Essjay (Talk • Connect) 10:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Roitr
Please compare ForesterGamp's upload log with Roitr's; many of the images have the same filenames, and both are either untagged or tagged (fraudulently) with {{GFDL-self}}, without indication of source. Roitr is indefinitely blocked. Thanks. Chick Bowen 00:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Declined.. Users must have recent edits to be able to be checkuser'd. Essjay (Talk • Connect) 01:27, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- For future reference, what's a ballpark definition of 'recent'? Thanks. Chick Bowen 01:33, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

- It varies, and for WP:BEANS reasons, we don't really disclose a set figure. As a general rule, if the time of a users last contribution can conveniently be stated in terms of months or years rather than weeks or days, it is probably too old. There is no harm in asking, there are some exceptions (WP:BEANS on exactly what), but don't be suprised if a request is declined in such cases. Essjay (Talk • Connect) 01:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Makes sense. Thanks, Essjay. Chick Bowen 01:51, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User:Roitr
Sockpuppests of a long-term vandal Roitr should be identified and blocked:
- Markdanil (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log)
- Mikhai (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log)
- Valentinnaksh (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log)
- Duduvak (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log)
- Uyrik (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log)
--Nixer 14:17, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- Doesn't set out a case for the connection between users; if it is obvious from the contributions, please list on AN/I for an administrator to block. If not, please explain what leads you to believe they are sockpuppets. Essjay Talk • Contact 06:18, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- It is obvious from their edits (though all edits by Uyrik already deleted). I twice placed it into AN but no administrator took any action or made reply. I dont know what to do now.--Nixer 06:54, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

Suspected sockpuppets of each other currently engaging in an edit war on Comparative military ranks of World War II and Ranks and insignia of the Schutzstaffel. Also editing as an anonymous user with 82.80.* and 82.81.* IP addresses. howcheng {chat} 20:00, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Checkuser evidence indicates that both users are using the same, relatively large ISP. Inconclusive. Kelly Martin (talk) 03:31, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
