[edit] Primetime5

Suspected sockpuppet

Inconclusive: it was on an open proxy, now blocked. Dmcdevit·t 10:08, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Primetime4

Suspected sock puppets:

Many IP addresses in this range seem to follow a similar pattern:

Accounts that appear to follow editing patterns with the acounts listed above, but that haven't edited in more than a month:

Resuults marked inline. Also Confirmed were: Fundelelu (talk contribs), Balthazarduju (talk contribs), Don Wiki Carlos-Jeméz (talk contribs), Macaw 54 (talk contribs), HQCentral (talk contribs) (this last one has a lot of edits; please someone familiar with Primetime give it a sanity check before blocking). Follow-up
Is there a chance that I have conflated two sets of sockpuppets?
user:Macaw 54, user:HQCentral, user:Herodas, and user:Don Wiki Carlos-Jeméz all show edit patterns that are strongly similar to those of Primetime.
However I've received emails from user:Balthazarduju saying that he's the puppet master of only User:Fundelelu, User:Joycedula, User:Thewallowmaker, User:Andrepalis, User:Ghislainfun, User:Callicunno, User:Daudulaka, User:Bergmanesque, and User talk:Indefinitevirtue. He claims to have no knowledge of Primetime. The edit patterns of those editors show some overlap with Primetime, but also some differences. The edit pattern is the same as those of the 67.2.145.xxx, 67.2.148.xxx, and 67.2.149.xxx anon and that's also consistent with the IPs on his emails.
(This user also claims that user:Mikesamras and user:RevolverOcelotX are not his socks.)
If this is true then user:Balthazarduju may need to cut back on the use of socks, but he is not a banned user. -Will Beback 05:41, 15 November 2006 (UTC) [amended 08:35, 17 November 2006 (UTC)]

[edit] Primetime3

Code letter: F (I was told on Wikipedia talk:Requests for checkuser to use code F for Jimbo Wales bans)

Proof of Jimbo Wales ban: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/block?page=User%3APrimetime

I first posted an unblock request on Wiktionary at wikt:Wiktionary:WikiProject on open proxies for an IP that had been recently unblocked at WP:OP because it was proven not to be an open proxy on Wikipedia. The unblock request was denied. The IP address was initially believed to be an open proxy that Primetime used, but it turned out to be his current home IP address because it was used for his style of copyvios on Wiktionary, and it is known that he uses Comcast as his ISP according to WP:'T. I then looked this address's block log and talk page here, and found that the address was blocked for a month due to CheckUser evidence. I am guessing that it came from the Jfreem;555 case in the IP check section, where 68.39.174.238 guessed that this account was a Primetime sockpuppet (which is still not blocked). That case is now listed as "Done." Please check to see if this account is another Primetime sock. You might want to consider extending the block on this copyvio specialist's address. Some recent obvious Primetime puppets have included:
These have all been blocked already are just listed as futher references for this new account. -Will Beback 09:25, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Primetime2

Primetime has been been permanently banned by user:Jimbo Wales for egregious copyright violaitons, yet has expressed his intention to keep returning. He previously created dozens of obvious sockpuppets here and on other Wikimedia projects: see Wikipedia:Long term abuse/Primetime and Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Primetime. Most recently he's created Hhfh3, Adorno Horkheymer, and Galassi. Lute88 may be a sockpuppet, but it is not obvious, hence this request. I'd also request the usernames of any other socks that show up in RfCU so that we can block them and undo their damage as well. -Will Beback 03:28, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Lute88's edits are too old to check. The other ranges have been investigated but nothing obvious turned up. We're done here. Mackensen (talk) 03:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks. I'm afraid this won't be the last request. -Will Beback 04:28, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Primetime

See Wikipedia:Long term abuse/Primetime. Can you identify and block the open proxies he's using to create more accounts? Rory096 19:50, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Working on it. Three ranges have been blocked so far. I'm working on the alleged socks now. Mackensen (talk) 22:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Clerk note: - Removed user that was listed twice. --GeorgeMoney T·C 00:23, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Special request: interproject coordination While you are adding blocks, if you notice any addresses not already blocked on wiktionary:Special:Log/block, please let me know via Special:Emailuser/Connel MacKenzie or my talk page. Thanks in advance. --Connel MacKenzie 07:40, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Someone has been vandalizing user pages today. It's hard to say off-hand if they are socks of Primetime, but it is worth checking. Some of the vandals have been:

They appear to all be the same person, so checking one is sufficient. -Will Beback 04:16, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

He's back at it. Newest accounts are Djf2006 and Tyrn5. Can you check those IPs? --Rory096 06:21, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Unrelated Mackensen (talk) 22:11, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Mackensen - which usernames are you referring to? Were the Doorway54, etc checked? -Will Beback 04:57, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Can someone please check user:I discovered America? Thanks, -Will Beback 18:59, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
No need, it's been confirmed by the user. -Will Beback 22:12, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
