If these users have the same identity, they seem to be violating section 2.1 of WP:SOCK by attempting to give the impression of broad support for their attempted changes to . Discussion is at Talk:Quasar#Can we agree that no one knows what the heck Quasars are? and Talk:Quasar#Quasars are distant AGN. AN/I thread is at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive130#Quasar.
An IP address, 64.236.245.243 (talk • contribs • WHOIS • block user • block log • checkip), appears to have been voluntarily tied to the User:Malamockq account (diff at AN/I).
Both users appear to be endorsing the same viewpoint in the dispute at Quasar, and both have a history of editing articles about video games and the article in the recent past.

- My personal feeling it that as this appears to be a first offense, there is no pressing need to attach a Scarlet Letter to his talk page. If a polite warning does not do the trick and he becomes a continuing problem, he can be tagged then. If you still wish to pursue this, you can make a request at WP:RPP or contact the admin who protected the page. Thatcher131 (talk) 15:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
