[edit] GreekWarrior

Additional IPs added by Fut.Perf.:

User:GreekWarrior was blocked in January for six months due to serious disruption and recently returned to "editing". Upon reviewing his rather volatile edits over the last 24 hours I noticed he signed this post made by an anon, 86.140.42.192 registered to BT in the UK. Upon further review of another article he frequented I noticed 86.138.0.221 was also a BT registered IP which has been used throughout his blocking period and not exactly quietly either. If this CU provides suitable evidence I would imagine an indefinite block is in order. Thank you Glen_S (talkcontribsblocksprotectsdeletionsmoves) 09:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

86.140.42.192, with gems like [2] is certainly him. Because there have been no recent edits, CheckUser offers no more evidence for 86.138.0.221 than what we already know: they're in the same range. Behavior may or may not make the connection obvious already. Dmcdevit·t 08:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Just for the record, I'm adding two more IPs above, and I'd suggest the behaviour profile of the .0.221 IP is also obviously enough identical (mixture of decent Greek-culture related edits with blatant nationalist hate outbursts) that we can safely assign it to him too, which means he was also block-evading all the time. Please also see WP:ANI#GreekWarrior, a thread I started before I noticed this RCU. Fut.Perf. 08:22, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes thanks from me too. Without evidence I'm not really sure how to proceed with GreekWarrior however. I blocked the most recent IP "used" for gross incivility/WP:NPA. That IP (86.140.42.67) only edited for the first time yesterday and he does seem to maintain the same for weeks - months before switching (whether intentional I dont know). Anyway, appreciated, cheers Glen 08:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I think it's all obvious enough. We have a positive Checkuser result for the .42.192 one (at least that's what I understand from Dmcdevit's response above, that was meant as an "official" result, right?); we also have instances of clear self-identification of two of the IPs as GreekWarrior (see my report on ANI); and all IPs and the account are linked by obvious common behaviour patterns. Certainly enough for a ban. Fut.Perf. 08:54, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Update: I don't suppose User:NickOfCyprus is recent enough to check him too? He's evidently the same user, judged from his profile of interests. Fut.Perf. 10:46, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Confirmed that 86.140.42.67 is GreekWarrior. For the rest, common sense should be enough, especially since he's admitted that he did not abide by his ban. Jayjg (talk) 20:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I have now Indefinitely blocked GreekWarrior. Thank you for your fantastic help in bringing this to a close. Appreciated Glen 23:04, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
