[edit] Rajput AIV

Checkuser needed at Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism#Rajput_troll in order to mete out a rangeblock. dab () 13:01, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Clerk note: Please give a list of (at least some) of the vandal accounts, using the {{checkuser}} template. Thatcher131 13:14, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

are among the recent accounts. There are many more at Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Shivraj Singh / DPSingh. --Sam Blanning(talk) 13:31, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. See also previous findings at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/DPSingh. Thatcher131 13:33, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Now that we can block account creation but allow current accounts to edit, hopefully we can institute a nice long block on his range when we find it. --Sam Blanning(talk) 13:41, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Clerk assistance required: At the conclusion, please merge this in with the previous check. Essjay (Talk) 10:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Done. Thatcher131 11:38, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Note: I'm not going to the trouble of confirming out all the accounts used; I have no doubt the rangeblock will sort it and that most have already been identified. If anyone would like to know, I can pull it back up. My advice is to block 192.94.94.0/24 and 192.91.75.0/24, both registered to Texas Instruments, and consider a complaint to the same. [edit] Rajput case

Dmcdevit asked me to look into a pile of suspected sockpuppets related to the Rajput dispute, specifically Comte De Boigne, Saubhag Singh, Hukum singh, Dhruv Singh, Dhruv singh, Raj tilak, Banke.

  • DPSingh socks: Shomu, Hukum singh, Addul, Jamwal, Kalhana, Inayat Bhati, Jmawal, Inder Singh, Anveshan, IP 202.138.112.252. All blocked.
  • Dhruv Singh, Dhruv singh, Raj tilak and Banke appear to be single-purpose accounts created for this dispute. All blocked.
  • Saubhag Singh: apparent role account, created only for this style of edit. Could be a cohort or using a compromised machine.

[edit] 10 000 thundering typhoons (talk contribs)

Possibly one of the editors banned in Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Rajput. dab () 09:14, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

nobody reacted to this. there is good circumstantial evidence that this is a sock of a banned user. Can we get a usercheck please? dab () 12:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Impossible to be sure. There are numerous sockpuppet-looking accounts created from that /24 recently, though, but I can't be absolutely sure they aren't legit users yet. Note that there are both:
Note that a checkuser is not required to block someone who appears to be a disruptive sock. If they behave the same they can generally be considered the same. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 18:27, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
thanks. It is impossible to be sure, since this is a case of a nationalist tag team, and a group of several users was banned, it is impossible to say which of these users this might be, or whether this is just another kid with the same mindset (nationalism tending to quench individual traits in people). I think we'll just have to consider him a "good faith edit warrior" for now. dab () 08:19, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
