[edit] Dan100

Final (35/0/0) ending 17:17 6 August 2005 (UTC)

Dan100 (talk contribs) - Dan100 is an editor who works on several projects. His favorite project must be wikinews where he's amassed over 7000 edits, but he's not doing too bad on wikipedia either, with 3308 edits since December 2004. He can handle conflicts and pressure fairly well, and understands WP:TRI backwards. In short, a very decent editor who'd make a very decent admin on wikipedia. :-) Kim Bruning 17:30, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I accept - thanks Kim :-) Dan100 (Talk) 00:20, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

  8. Support I must support him quickly, before he goes and answers the "official candidate questions of doom". kmccoy (talk) 23:22, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
  9. Happy to support. --JuntungWu 12:21, 1 August 2005 (UTC)
  10. Support. Although I'd prefer the standard questions were answered, the information Dan has provided below is the sort of thing I like to know. His response to the Neutral votes below is a good example of his responding to criticism, and I'm confident that he will explain any actions of his he is asked to. 11. Support I was very impressed that you took constructive criticism so well. I have no reason not to support you now. Ryan 13:56, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
  12. Support, a well qualified candidate. Hall Monitor 18:19, 1 August 2005 (UTC)
  13. Support. I really disagreed with Dan100 on weight training and didn't think he handled that particularly well (I'll bet he thought the same of me :). But that was a while ago and subsequant edits have seemed to be good, and even in weight training he was editing and arguing in what he thought to be good faith. I also like that he set up a talk archive, since those can be valuable. - Taxman Talk 20:10, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
  14. Strong support. Dan will make a great admin and I'm really glad he's been nominated. He helped me out with a dispute I was involved in, and showed himself to be an ocean of calm and commonsense. He's exactly the kind of editor who ought to be promoted. 1. Neutral I was all set and ready to Support, until I saw your talk page. You blank it. Big minus. I'm sorry. Ryan 00:50, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
I don't usually blank it - I did recently, as no-one had said anything to me for a couple of weeks :-) - just remove older conversations. I don't 'archive' though. However, you can read back through my talk page by looking in the History for edits I mark "clear-out". Dan100 (Talk) 09:00, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
Voted changed to Support. Ryan 13:56, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
  2. Neutral, I'm gonna go neutral on this aswell, blanking is a big no no in my book. If he'd set up some archives then I would absolutly support, a great user. gkhan 10:35, August 1, 2005 (UTC) I love these guys :D Support gkhan 10:04, August 2, 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters: Funny kmccoy should say what he does above, because I'm going to follow his brave lead and not answer the same ol' three questions too. However, I will say why I want the extra buttons as I personally think that's something anyone applying for adminship should do: Rollback for reverting pure vandalism on RC patrol, delete for WP:CP and possibly VfD work, block for spambots, vandals who have been properly warned and for WP:AIV reports, and protect (or rather editing of protected pages) for keeping In the news a bit more up to date than it has been recently. If anyone has specific questions, do not hesistate to ask, I will gladly answer. Dan100 (Talk) 00:20, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

If a train leaves city A, traveling at 100 mph, and another leaves city B at...oh, er, what sort of specific questions. ;-) Functc ) 23:44, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
