The Republic of Macedonia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest six times, with the name FYR Macedonia, debuting in 1998 (see ESC1998). The best result the country reached so far was a 12th place in the 2006 final. Macedonia is the only former Yugoslavian nation to have never finished in the Top 10 at Eurovision.
The show is broadcast on MKRTV.
Although Macedonia came through the semifinal in 2004, 2005 and 2006, the country will again have to go through the semifinal in 2007.
