The Republic of China sent a 3-man team to the first Olympics they ever attended. There was a swimmer, a trainer and Chief Coach Chung. At the games I spoke to Chief Coach Chung. He said it had been a long and difficult trip, and they had no expectations of any success, but felt it was important to attend. All the iron curtain athletes stayed at a separate Olympic village called Otenemi. Jack Kinnel
