I have removed this deletion template and noted the reason below as tated in the options within the deletion template itself:
It is proposed that this article be deleted, because of the following concern:
NN. Advertisement If you can address this concern by improving, copyediting, sourcing, renaming or merging the page, please edit this page and do so. You may remove this message if you improve the article, or if you otherwise object to deletion of the article for any reason. To avoid confusion, it helps to explain why you object to the deletion, either in the edit summary or on the talk page. If this template is removed, it should not be replaced.
The article may be deleted if this message remains in place for five days (This template was added: 26 June 2006).
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article so that it is acceptable according to the deletion policy.
This page was added in response to a number of local Malibu rehabs editing Wiki enteries in order to gain SEO.
In particular, see this edit and history for this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Drug_rehabilitation&oldid=45322722
Passages was added continually and the editor even deleted other external references.
I believe their IP was blocked from editing as a result.
In addition I have seen Narcanon editing follow this practice heavily as do some smaller advertising sites as well.
The following page is an example of a listing by a competitor in Wiki that remains:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promises_Treatment_Center
If any of these private orgs are allowed on the pages of Wiki as examples of drug treatment then all should be allowed.
However if all are being deleted then I firmly agree that the Renaissance page should go as well.
Thanks for your work - and lets keep Wiki open unlike the DMOZ.
- Wiki, unlike DMOZ frowns on entries added merely for the sake of advertisement. --Ezeu 01:14, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
