Renegade Hardware
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Renegade Hardware is one of the pioneer record labels in the drum and bass music industry. Renegade Hardware is actually a subdivision of the Trouble on Vinyl record label. Having been involved with the drum and bass scene since pretty much day one they have hundreds of releases from some of the most talented drum and bass producers in the scene. Renegade Hardware has released material from artists such as Kemal and Rob Data, Hive, Keaton, Usual Suspects, Universal Project, Dom and Roland, DJ Friction, Cause 4 Concern, Dylan, DJ Ink, Loxy, Raiden, John B, and many others.
In 2003, Trouble on Vinyl created Barcode Recordings, a sister label to Renegade Hardware. Barcode's initial concept was to nurture new talent and establish up and coming artists but some would argue it has a much heavier and darker sound than Renegade Hardware. Some artists such as Evol Intent, Spor and Raiden have gone on to become established with Renegade Hardware.
Renegade Recordings is another Trouble on Vinyl offshoot label, born in 1995. Renegades Of Funk is the label's flagship mix CD series.
