[edit] Trivia
- Tosio had a quirk on the ice; before each bully in front of his goal he hit the posts one after the other with his stick and then got himself in position.
- During his time at the SC Bern he developed a ritual; after each home game he performed a salute to the fans – he used to take a run-up, then do three split jumps and cast a summersault at the end – in full get-up.
- He was so admired by his fans that they claimed “…and the eight day, God created Tosio”
- In 1999 Tosio played two games on Spengler Cup for the host team HC Davos.
- Tosio once did a free figure skating performance with fellow Swiss goaltender Reto Pavoni (both in full get-up) and famous figure skater Denise Biellmann for the TV show Benissimo.
