René Diekstra

René Diekstra (born July 20, 1946) is a Dutch psychologist. Apart from being a scientist, he is also well known as an author of popular psychology books. He is also the developer of many psychological programs for policy and well-being and writes for the Staatscourant and a couple of magazines.

He left Leiden University in 1997 after accusations of plagiarism.

Since 2004 Diekstra is head of the social science department and professor of psychology at the Roosevelt Academy in Middelburg.
