Rempstone

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rempstone is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, although its closest town and postal address is Loughborough across the border in Leicestershire. It is situated at the crossing of the A60 and A6006 roads. It has no schools. There is a church dedicated to All Saints' which dates back to 1771. An earlier church (St Peter-in-the-Rushes) stood approximately 1km north-east of the village near the Sheepwash Brook. That church was demolished but the graveyard remains with many headstones.

Arriva Buses operate a service (No. 99) between Nottingham and Coalville which passes through the village on the A60. Nottingham East Midlands Airport is 15 minutes away.
