Remote Control Records

Remote Control Records was established by Harvey Saward (Shock Records’ International A&R Manager for ten years) and Steve Cross (previously General Manager of a division of FMR[citation needed]) in early 2001. The company provides marketing services, promotional support and label management to a roster of international and Australian artists and labels.

Remote Control represents a wide rage of artists and labels including:

Labels: Beggars Banquet, 4AD, XL Recordings, Matador Records, Domino, Too Pure and Bella Union.

International Acts: Basement Jaxx, The White Stripes, Interpol, Cat Power, Peaches, TV on the Radio, Elliott Smith, Devendra Banhart, Mark Lanegan, M.I.A., Dizzee Rascal, Lou Barlow, Gotan Project and Pixies.

Australian Acts: Wolf & Cub, Snowman, Ned Collette, New Buffalo, Dirty Three, Architecture in Helsinki, Deloris, City City City and Bit By Bats.

In mid-2004, Remote Control set up Dot Dash as a new label for Australian artists.
