Remi Kaler
REMI CLAIR some times known as "Remi Kaler". Remi Clair was born in Oct. 1962 in District Jalandhar of Punjab Province in Northern India "The land of Aryans since 5000 years".
He is an aspiring actor and has recently starred in the cult favourite Sweet Amerika, to be released in 2007.
He was fond of doing extra curricular activities and acting since his childhood. Being an idealistic type of person he has always been trying to do some thing different from others with honesty and integrity. He learned basics of acting while doing theatre during his college days. He participated in many stage activities like skits, plays and Bhangra (Traditional Punjabi dance) during those days in college. He won best item award on stage during get to gether party and won first prize in music event by dramatic club of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He has not only kept himself busy in doing courses in hiking & trekking, swimming, karate and snow skiing etc. but was also an member of National Cadet Corps (India) (army wing) & was holding senior most rank of Senior Under Officer. He led all India twice as Camp Cadet Commander & was adjudged Best Cadet in All India. During these days he was trained in different weapons & won many other prizes as well.
After completing his university engineering degree in first class he came back to his native city Jalandhar where he acted in couple of telefilms/programs at local [TV Centre] (Doordarshan Kendra Jalandhar). Side by side he learned horse back riding and flying. Since then he is holding his Private Pilots License & kept it valid/current. He has been a member of (Punjab Radio Society) & holder of HAM (Amateur radio) license. Even after getting a job in Punjab Govt. as an (Class-1 Gazetted officer) Engineering Manager he has never stopped his quest to do more. He became a life member of Youth Hostelling International and has not only traveled in India but also in many other countries like UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Thailand.
Remi Clair was successful in every field, just by chance he participated in first ever Mr. Fitness [[Model(person)] of Punjab contest and was adjudged fourth best Mr. Fitness Model of Punjab in 1996. And in 1997 he won Mr. North India in first ever Mr.& Miss North India Modeling contests held in Punjab and won (Mr. Confident) title as well. Getting encouraged from modeling contests he went to Mumbai in 1998 and got his photo session done. After initial struggle in Mumbai director/producer B.P.Singh gave him break in his famous TV Series CID on (Sony TV chanell) which got the best series award in 1999. After getting success in CID he acted in many other series like Aahat on Sony TV, Kavita on Star Plus, Agni on Doordarshan, Darr & Wehda on Lashkara channel, Apna Punjab (Pilot) for Zee Punjabi in Punjabi and Bhay on Gurjari channel in Gujarati. He worked in commercials like STG by Kailash productions. He was casted in Hindi feature film Scandal as main role (produced by K.S.Bedi and directed by Iqbal Chana) and in film Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon as main lead opposite Sharbani Mukherji (of Border fame) produced by (Bohra Productions) and directed by Gautam. But he went back to home due to compelling family circumstances with a note to finish these projects in near future.
But as destiny played a bigger role instead of going back to Mumbai he came to Canada in Vancouver. After initial settling down he got one English film Sweet Amerika produced & directed by Award winning Journalist R Paul Dhillon of Blue Berry Street Films. In this film he is playing a principle character of a Punjabi man who is a friend of Gulshan Grover and fell in love with a Korean woman played by Kit Koon. This is scheduled for release in year 2007. Recently he has hired a famous business manager D K Shroff who is managing work of many known artistes.

Remi Clair is the eldest son of Bhag Kaler who is Retired as Telecommunication Engineer and Mohinder Kaur Kaler. He has one brother Naresh Kaler who is an Mechanical Engineer and has one sister Dr. Sudha who is an Post Graduate Doctor Gaenocologist. With the grace of God on 8th December, 2001 he was blessed with a wonderful and articulate son Azad Clair. He is now separated from his wife Vina Clair.
