No, no, no. This is a possibly copyright violaton. Don't edit this one unless such concern is wiped out. -- Taku 00:32 19 May 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Questionable

"Yūichirō Kumada, a good-natured vagrant..."

What is the source for this? Doesn't episode 34 (Japanese) imply that Yuuichiro is not a vagrant, since he has access to a place to stay owned by his parents? Ken Arromdee 19:30, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

No, that was the 34th English episode.  Denelson83  21:35, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Left-handed?

New change said judging by attacks she's left-handed. I can only assume this is referring to how she holds her wand? Even so, drawing on an official source for this info would make more sense. There might be a variety of reasons why she'd hold something in a certain hand. Do the other Senshi hold it in their left hand? Perhaps Rei wants her right free to throw holy tags with? Tyciol 05:39, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I doubt it if you're working off of the Tokyopop manga which was flipped... --Hitsuji Kinno 07:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Princesses Article

Just so you all know, I've made a new article at Princesses (Sailor Moon). The merge notices are gone now, because that group of stubs has been cleared up. Now that it's done, please feel free to edit and cite to your heart's content! ^_^ -Masamage 20:52, 27 July 2006 (UTC) Bold text

[edit] Consistency: Mercury's Profile as a template

Because of the problem of consistency between Senshi profiles, it's been proposed that we make one profile into a template for all the others. Currently, that one profile is Ami Mizuno's. Any changes to the general format of Senshi articles should be made there, and then copied to all the others. This plan is very preliminary, however, so for more information or to make a comment, please see the appropriate section of the series Talk page, so that everyone else can see what you have to say!

So far I have edited the hero box and lead section, and have added a Sailor Mars section. Changes that remain to make it consistant with Sailor Mercury are to change the 'Personality' section to a 'Profile', containing personality as well as history, school, family situation, and other info. This should be followed by 'Other forms', which in her case will mention only Princess Mars. The Statistics should then be updated to match Ami's--anything that doesn't fit can be written in prose in the Profile. Powers should be moved up into the next slot and reformatted, "Fandom" should be removed entirely (it is not encyclopedic), and the 'character' section should be divided between the Profile and a new 'Variations' section.

It's extensive! But it's mostly a reorganization, and little if any information will be lost. I think it will improve the entire Sailor Moon area of Wikipedia to have all the article match up in this way. If you have comments about Rei's article specifically, post them here; if you have comments about the entire Consistancy project, post them in the series Talk page as stated above. Thank you, everyone! --Masamage 21:57, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Phew! Okay, I've done everything on that to-do list except for reorganizing the Personality and Character sections into Profile and Variations sections, as seen in the Ami Mizuno article. I'm unfamiliar with the exact names and appearances of the attacks, so that section needs a lot of help, especially the PGSM bit. I'll attack the remaining changes later--it's time for a break. o_o --Masamage 22:46, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's done. I hope that nobody is bothered by my having made such extensive edits--if you are, please say so here, and do remember that all previous versions are archived! Thanks. ^___^ --Masamage 00:19, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clean up

I only did clean up for the stats (added refs too). I noticed someone tried to add in Strong Point-- this is from the Irwin boxes, which we have no references for! In either case doing the stats in full will be complex because the categories are different from manga and dub... Debatable on whether to keep dub stats anyhow. Just a few more to go!--Hitsuji Kinno 07:54, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

That was me - Ami had a strong point, so I figured Rei must have one, somewhere. How the heck do you reference a toy box anyway??? - Malkinann 08:07, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm working on it. *grins* I requested someone with the toy boxes scan the back of the toyboxes and then post them. I know I'm nuts, but I used to do this for my own Sailor Moon pages. I said if they couldn't scan them in for whatever reason to give us the UPC codes for the boxes (which are kind of like ISBNs for the book references). Then we can figure out dates and treat it kind of like a book. ^_^ I also asked them to verify the stats if they could, though I told them we would prefer a scan. (I gave them a little incentive too.) ^^;; A bit naughty, but since I'm after primary references it's not a bad thing. --Hitsuji Kinno 22:15, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Archery

I remember reading somewhere that archery is a traditional skill of a miko - this might be the reason why Rei's in the archery club, and the tradition behind Mars Flame Sniper. Would this [1] be a suitable reference to say so? - Malkinann 08:07, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

I may be going out on a limb here, but there is some consistency here. Another famous miko, the character Kikyo from the InuYasha series is also a well established archer. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 10:38, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, it does make me feel this is probably true, but I don't think it's a good reference because it's obviously a fan page and doesn't say where it got this information. At Miko#In fiction it says that "manga and anime typically portray the miko as a heroine who fights evil spirits, demons, and ghosts, often with magical or supernatural powers. In such stories miko are generally depicted as being skilled in some variety of martial art, especially the use of a traditional Japanese weapon such as yumi (longbow), tanto (knife), or any of the various Japanese swords". So this may be a traditional skill of fictional miko, but not real ones; that'll take some research to figure out. --Masamage 20:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] POV?

Rei is the traditional Japanese beauty--delicate features, pale skin, and long, shining dark hair.

I think this is a touch POV. Also physical descriptions shouldn't be needed if there are images on the page. What exactly is the point of adding it? People can see/judge for themselves and see if they agree. Plus the physical descriptions often change version to version and over time and sometimes just image to image. (Not to mention the outfits...) --Hitsuji Kinno 22:19, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I understood it to be part of the intention behind her character design. Also, how many different places are you going to post your complaint over the descriptions? :P --Masamage 23:32, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Luna even suspects that she could be the Moon Princess because of her beauty, elegance, and spiritual devotion. It's a pretty big deal... Even if Luna suspects every female of being the Moon Princess early on.  ;) - Malkinann 05:26, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

Rattleman, Why did you change the image of her attacking?Lego3400: The Sage of Time 01:24, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

My guess is because it shows more than just her face. --Masamage 03:25, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Appearance

I just watched Act 2 of PGSM and Rei appears at the end, right before the next episode preview. Eventhough Rei isn't formally introduced until Act 3, Ami wasn't formally introduced until Act 2 and yet her page says she first appears in Act 1, so I'm going to keep the two consistent. Kakashi-sensei 12:01, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Great catch! I had totally forgotten about that. Thank you for fixing it. :) --Masamage 22:48, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Ami is mentioned in act one and is seen in class Lego3400: The Sage of Time 17:00, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Her article is already fixed. --Masamage 19:45, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fire Attack

Although her attack is to shoot fire, it's the Fire of the Forces of Good, but the villians that shoot fire is the Fire of the Forces of Evil. What is the episode where in the beginning, Sailor Mars shot out a fire to make the other Sailor Senshi dance around in it? --PJ Pete

You really need to stop asking these mundane questions. Anyway, I think you're talking about Episode 43/38, "Is Usagi Going it Alone? The Sailor Warriors Get Into a Big Fight" or "Fractious Friends". All the Senshi are chasing Moon until Mars uses a fire attack that backfires, setting the ground on fire below them. The Senshi move their feet fast to avoid the fire, or what you would call "dancing". Once again, please stop with the questions. -- RattleMan 23:49, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
