[edit] Welcome, caution on dicdefs

Welcome!

Hello, Reggae Sanderz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Sadly, I have already proposed deletion of one of your early contributions, Haluwelkyu, as dictionary definitions (dicdefs) are usually deleted here. You might consider contributing definitions to wiktionary, though I'd encourage you to continuing to contribute here, as well. Cheers!--Kchase T 08:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for your support on my (ultimately unsuccessful) campaign. I hope to have better luck in the future and welcome any comments you might have to help me better prepare. Lambertman 13:24, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Image:One-hundred-WikiThanks.gif
Thank you for contributing the impressive the pile of supports gathered on my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 0x0104/0x01/0x00. I'm happy that so many people have put faith in my abilities as an admin and promise to use the tools wisely and do my best not to let you down. If I ever may be of assistance, just leave a note on my talk page.
Misza13, the rouge-on-demand admin wishes you happy editing!

[edit] My RfA

Thank you so much for voting in my recent RFA. It passed on the relatively narrow vote of 38/8/8. It was also one of the least-participated-in RFA nominations in several months, so pat yourself on the back, and join the party on your left, but first, take your cookie!

NOTE: I can't code HTML to save my life. I copied this from Misza13. I guess I should write him a thank you note as well. Cookies sold separately. Batteries not included. [edit] my RfA

Thanks for your support in my RfA! Unfortunately, the request did not pass, with a vote of (43/16/7). But your support was appreciated and I'll just keep right on doing what I do. Maybe I'll see ya around -- I'll be here!
Cheers! - CheNuevara 17:23, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Important Note

Okay. You've said that you are not a sockpuppet of Scotty Dukes, or in fact a sockpuppet at all, so I'm going to grant you the benefit of the doubt.

However, I'm also going to explain to you why you were perceived as being a sockpuppet, and how you can avoid having that happen again. You probably won't like it, but it's the truth.

It's very rare for an editor who does what you did, to be a genuine editor and not, say, a banned user trying to pretend he's someone new.

What you did: you joined, and then one minute later, you started voting in RfAs. Then you took two weeks off... and when you came back, you again voted in an RfA. Then you voted on a deletion debate. And it was only 45 minutes later that you actually contributed to an article.

Then, five minutes later, you proposed a new policy. The next morning, you again voted in an RfA. Then you left several messages on talk pages, then again voted in an RfA. No articles.

Your next several edits were complaints on talk pages, and votes in RfAs. No articles. And then more RfAs, and more RfAs.

For such a new user to immediately throw himself into the administrative side of the project instead of first focusing on the articles... it is uncommon. For this user to continue to focus on the administrative side, to the near-total exclusion of the articles, goes beyond "uncommon" to downright "suspicious".

If you are not a sockpuppet, then I would like to suggest, politely, that you refrain from voting in any more RfAs until you have made at least 700 more edits to article-space (genuine edits, please), and that you interact with other users based on the contents of articles.

Okay? DS 15:24, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

That's fine, as long as the accusations don't turn into blocking and all that idiocy. Reggae Sanderz 20:36, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

Well, if you're a sockpuppet of ScottDukes, you are running a deeper game than I thought, since his editing style seens rather different than yours, Eddie. I'm blocking this account as a reincarnation of User:EddieSegoura. A checkuser turned up inconclusive, but I've slogged through all your contributions and it is obvious. Here is a highlight of the evidence:

  • Username "Reggae Sanderz"... similar to Reggie Sanders, an MLB player. EddieSegoura had used baseball player's names as sockpuppet accounts many times.
  • EddieSegoura often felt others reverted or questioned his bad edits because they were "offended". [1] "I am pleased to join this site and hopefully make some useful contributions. I signed up when I stumbled on a forum where you vote to promote users and give extra abilities, I hope no one is offended, though". More "offended" bits: [2] [3]
  • [4] Edit to Zordon -- note change away from fictional character in the lead, like this edit to the same page by EddieSegoura.
  • [5] Smoking gun?
  • Created (now deleted) haluwelkyu: "A haluwelkyu is an interchange where two curving roads merge. One such junction occours at exit 127 of the Garden State Parkway..." "Haluwelkyu" is the new "Exicornt".
  • RFA voting, early and often
  • [6] - 2006 Boston Massacre Deletion review voting on a pet page of Eddie's.

Whatever... It looks like I must start from scratch again. I will have create a name that can't be "suspected". Of course you've ruined this guy Eddie's life and now you're trying to ruin mine? Not gonna happen. Reggae Sanderz 04:51, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
