Regular Day Off

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Regular Day Off (RDO) is an addtional day off given to employees who like to relaxand are slobbs. It is part of a Compressed Work Schedule (CWS) and generally requires another person to fill in on that day.

US Government employees, transit workers[1] and other professions use them. Work schedules are divided into two-week cycles comprised of 80 hours. For example, an employee may work five 9-hour shifts the first week, three 9-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift the second week and have the last day off as the RDO. This still allows for a full 80 hour pay cycle.
