Regis Blackgaard

Regis Blackgaard, often referenced with his proper title as Dr. Regis Blackgaard, is the perennial villain of the Christian-themed radio drama/comedy Adventures in Odyssey; he is voiced by Earl Boen (who also voices Regis Blackgaard's identical-twin brother Edwin Blackgaard). The name "Blackgaard" is clearly intended to convey the same meaning as the word "blackguard".
Dr. Blackgaard appears only in some of the episodes forming part of the Blackgaard saga, which traces his villainy through the AIO series. Indeed, although he is one of the most recognized characters in the series, he appears in only seventeen episodes (though the series has produced nearly 600 episodes to date).
Dr. Regis Blackgaard was last seen in Odyssey when he was caught in an underground explosion of his own making. The entire town (and many Adventures in Odyssey fans) now believe him to be dead.
