Regional Forestry Agreement
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Regional Forestry Agreement or RFA is a 20-year plan for the management of Australia's native forests. The agreement was designed to provide a balance between the environmental and commercial interests in Australia's forests and to put an end to the history of conflict between these two groups.
The Agreement relies on a mix of community and industry consultation combined with scientific research. While the Agreement is supported by forestry industry, it is widely criticized by environmental groups.
