The "Tito Minniti" Reggio Calabria Airport (IATA: REGICAO: LICR), also known as Aeroporto dello Stretto (Airport of the Strait) is an airport near Reggio Calabria, Italy. Its IATA airport code REG is derived from Reggio Calabria, Calabria's main city, which the airport is closest to.

The airport was named after italian Aeronautica Militare war-hero Tito Minniti born in Reggio Calabria.

It serves mainly Province of Reggio Calabria and Province of Messina, partially Province of Vibo Valentia; more than 1,200,000 people.

The Reggio Calabria Airport is about 4 kilometers by car from Reggio's historic city center.

  • By car from North (Tirrenic area)
A3 Highway (Salerno-Reggio Calabria), on Arangea or Ravagnese stops;
  • By car from South (Ionic area)
SS106 Ionic Statal Street (Reggio Calabria-Taranto), on Ravagnese or Arangea stops;
The airport is connected to the city by ATAM (Metropolitan Area Transport Service) buses, that connect the airport with the harbour and with the main rail station too;
A bus service called "Volobus" connects the airport of Reggio with Messina in about an hour and on time with all flights;
  • With Locride Area and with Grecanic Area:
A bus service called "Jonica Line" connects Caulonia Marina with the airport on time with all flights.
  • Work in progress:
soon will be available a new highway stop related to the airport between Arangea and Ravagnese stops; an hydrofoil wharf will connect Airport with Messina, Aeolian Islands and Taormina; than on next year will be available the new "Reggio Calabria light rail" (Melito - Reggio - Villa) by RFI then the "RC Aeroporto" station will make easier the rail connections with the airport.
