The Red Lynx is an undead enemy air ace from Mega War II (the cat world's equivalent to World War II) in the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. He appears in the episode The Ghost Pilot and is voiced by Mark Hamill. His name is a play on that of the Red Baron. Described as the most evil pilot who ever lived, in addition to being the best in history (despite this, his flying skills made him a longstanding idol of Chance Furlong), the Red Lynx spent most of the war unmatched in the skies above Mega War II-era Megakat City. His glory came to an end when he was finally shot down in battle by the heroic Blue Manx, great-grandfather of Mayor Manx.

Fifty later, his old biplane was fished from Megakat Bay by dockworker and war veteran Abner Doolittle and taken to the Megakat City Museum of History and put on display. His skeletal ghost came with it, thirsting for revenge on any living descendants of the Blue Manx; however, the only one known was Mayor Manx himself. Taking to the skies in his old biplane, the Red Lynx pursued the Mayor through the Megakat Golf Course, but was thwarted when the SWAT Kats arrived and pulled Manx to safety using the Sky Claw. The Red Lynx later made a second attempt to assassinate the Mayor, this time during the public unveiling of the advanced prototype Enforcer jet, the Blue Manx (named after the Mayor's great-grandfather).

Once again his efforts were hindered by the Swat Kats, who were at the time acting as the Mayor's bodyguards. The wings of his biplane severed by Turboblades, the Red Lynx crashed into the bay and sank. But the ghost pilot was far from finished. His vengeful spirit would shortly afterward seize control of the Blue Manx prototype jet, using that in his further attempts to kill his enemy's descendant. It was then learned by Dr. Abby Sinian that only a member of the Manx family was capable of destroying the Red Lynx's ghost once and for all, and with Mayor Manx the only living descendant, he was forced to undertake the job himself, despite his cowardice. Luckily, with the help of Razor, Manx was able to shoot down the Red Lynx with Blowtorch Missiles whilst T-Bone distracted him in the Turbokat, and the Red Lynx once again crashed into the water.

Whether this was the true end of the Red Lynx, no one can say for certain.
