Red Deer North

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Red Deer North is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada.

Formerly an all-urban district, under the Alberta electoral boundary re-distribution of 2004 the constituency was expanded to include a small area outside the city limits, including the nearby town of Blackfalds. Within the city the constituency borders Red Deer-South at the Red Deer River, Taylor Drive, Ross Street, 30th Avenue and 55th Street. Clockwise from Red Deer-South, the district also borders Innisfail-Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House and Lacombe-Ponoka.

The current MLA for this district is Progressive Conservative Mary Anne Jablonski. She won her bid for re-election in the district in the 26th Alberta general election.
