REDCAT

Opened November 2003, REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater is the downtown Los Angeles exhibition venue of the California Institute of the Arts. Located in the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall complex, REDCAT is a 7000-square foot black box theater, 3000-square foot exhibition space, and comfortable lounge. The lounge offers espresso, beer, wine, liquor, and free Wi-Fi connection, as well as being an outlet for Dutton's Bookstore. Programming at REDCAT features experimental dance, theater, music, film and visual arts exhibitions from around the world. Some of the exhibited artists and presentations are recorded for podcasts.
