Recyclops

Recyclops was a competitor on the first series of Robot Wars. It was named Recyclops because it was made of recycled material. The robot was dome shaped and had a flipper that was shaped like a tongue. They got past the gauntlet and the trial (where they flipped Matilda) and beat Scrapper in the semi-final. They went through to the grand final melee after they beat Mortis on a judge's decision. In the grand final, after Cunning Plan and T.R.A.C.I.E went out, the other robots ganged up on Recyclops, who were eventually forced to retire with a broken chain.
Recyclops pioneered the flipper and self-righting mechanism, which was a prominent feature in later series.
They also entered into Series 2 as Cassius and Series 3 as Cassius II.
