Recreational cycling is any cycling not done for pure utilitary reasons. There is much overlap with cycle or bicycle sports, like bicycle racing.

One popular form of recreational cycling is bicycle touring. Also, of course there is bicycle commuting, and bicycle training for excercise purpsoses.
