"Rebelde" is a song recorded by the popular Mexican pop group RBD. It was released the first single off their debut album Rebelde in 2004 in Mexico, 2005 in the United States and a Spanish release for the summer of 2006. The song became 2005's major hit in Mexico and is the start of a successful career for the band.
- Also, "Rebelde (Alternate Version)", the English version of "Rebelde", is unconfirmed to be on RBD's upcoming first English studio album, Rebels as a Hidden Previously Unreleased Track...
- This wasn't suppost to be spilled in the internet but I just had to tell someone...
[edit] Music video
The video for the song features the band arriving to a beautiful mansion, as they get to know the place, several scenes of them performing the song on a famous avenue in Mexico City, finally they have a party inside the mansion and perform in a pool.
[edit] Chart performance
The song was used to the soap opera's Rebelde first, successful season. The song stayed in the #1 spot for more than 2 months in Mexico. It also reached the top position in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and many other latin-american countries.
It's the band biggest hit and flagship song and was the first opening song.
The song gave them recognition, but the band's biggest U.S. hit is not quite the one that they have around the world (Rebelde), since it only peaked at #37 on Billboard's Top 50 Latin Songs, while "Solo quédate en silencio" peaked at #2 and stayed there over a month.
