Real Life is the debut album by post-punk pioneers Magazine. The album is cited, along with Public Image Ltd's debut album, Public Image, and Talking Heads' 77, as being one of the first post-punk albums. It was remarkable for its marriage of scathing, sarcastic lyrical couplets, such as Great Beautician in the Sky's "everyone is irresistable", with a swirling, keyboard-driven backing.
