RCMP Security Service
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
RCMP Security Service was once responsible for intelligence and counterintelligence activities for Canada. The McDonald Commission had the service replaced in 1984 by the CSIS.
It had been originally founded in 1950 as the Special Branch of the RCMP, and in 1962 was renamed as the Directorate of Security and Intelligence. In 1970 it was renamed once again to RCMP Security Service. [1]
