RCD Espanyol B is a Spanish football team. They are the reserve team of RCD Espanyol. Unlike the English League, reserve teams in Spain play in the same football pyramid as their senior team rather than a separate league. However reserve teams cannot play in the same division as their senior team. Therefore the team is ineligible for promotion to the Primera Division. Reserve teams are also no longer permitted to enter the Copa del Rey or to have their own separate names.

In 1981, Futbol Club Cristinenc was created in Santa Cristina d'Aro. The club had a speedy progression through the lower divisions until it reached the Tercera División. Meanwhile, it had also become a feeder club for RCD Espanyol. In 1991, the name was changed to "Cristinenc-Espanyol" and in 1994 it became RCD Espanyol B, gaining the reserve team status for RCD Espanyol.
