Raymond Bonin

Raymond C. Bonin (born November 20, 1942 in Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian politician.

Bonin is a Liberal member of the Canadian House of Commons representing the riding of Nickel Belt, and has done so since 1993. Prior to entering politics, he was a professor at Sudbury's Cambrian College. He was also chairman of the French Catholic school board from 1976 to 1985, and was a city councillor from 1988 to 1991.

On November 16, 2006, Bonin announced that he will retire from politics at the end of his current term, and will not run for reelection in the next federal election. [1]
