Ray St. Germain

Ray St. Germain (born in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a musician, author, radio show host, and was the 2006 federal Liberal candidate for the Winnipeg Centre constituency.
St. Germain was born in the St. Vital area of Winnipeg and has spent his life entertaining friends, family, fellow Manitobans, and Canadians. He has supported our Canadian Forces by bringing his music overseas for the troops in Germany, Israel, and Cyprus. Mr. St. Germain also gives back to his community through performances in schools and seniors’ centres throughout Winnipeg.
St. Germain wrote, produced, and hosted the nationally syndicated, award winning, “Big Sky Country” that aired for 13 years on Global Television. Recently, he has worked with The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network producing and hosting the series “Rhythms of the Metis”. He is also a voice actor for the children’s series ‘Tipi Tales’ that airs on the Treehouse Network and APTN.
Throughout his career, Mr. St. Germain has hosted over 600 television shows on CBC, Global, and APTN. He been an on-air personality and program manager with NCI-FM Radio for the past seven years and hosts a program called the Metis Hour X2 every Saturday morning for the Manitoba Metis Federation.
Mr. St. Germain has received many awards for his contributions to Canadian culture. Such honours include the Aboriginal Order of Canada, the Order of the Sash – Saskatoon and Prince Albert, and a position on the Aboriginal Wall of Honour in the Winnipeg Friendship Centre.
He currently lives in Winnipeg. He has five children (Chrystal, Cathy, Ray, DJ, and Sherry) and four grandchildren (Jeff, Jordan, Catie, and Cody).
